Going Our His Way?

St. Paul’s Episcopal is a welcoming and inclusive community of Christ-seekers who base our relationship to God and one another not on dogma, but on a shared experience of worship, service and fellowship. Won’t you join us as we follow His Way?

Taizé Service

Spend some quiet time with the one who loves you best. Taizé worship is marked by sacred music, Scripture and meditative prayer: this candlelight service is an opportunity to rest in the Holy Presence and re-calibrate that frantic inner clock. The service lasts for forty-five minutes. We welcome visitors of any (or no!) faith background to join us in this peaceful time.

Celebration of Life for Donna Martinson

Donna Martinson passed peacefully at home on September 14th surrounded by family and friends. Donna was born in Dubuque, Iowa and married Dean Martinson in 1971. They spent most of their married life in Florida where she spent her career working as a cardiac Registered Nurse.

They moved to Payson, AZ in 2007 where she enjoyed 14 very good years of retirement. Many new friends were made, which meant several new activities including hiking with the Payson Packers, traveling with friends, ballroom dancing, golf, and quilting. The first weekend after moving to Payson she adopted her beloved golden retrievers, Duke and Ellie. Dean was sure this ended his plans for travel, but really only caused the purchase of a 5th wheel so the dogs could go along.

Donna is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Dean, 3 sons, 2 grandchildren and 2 daughters -in-law, her identical twin sister Dianna and family. A Celebration of Life will be held for Donna at Messinger’s Mortuary on Saturday October 1st at 11 am. Please join us for lunch and dessert following the service. We invite all to come celebrate and share memories of her wonderful life!

Blessing of the Animals (Dogpark Edition!)

Our animals are a beloved part of creation, and on October 1 at 4 pm, we will be holding a very short liturgy to bless our animal friends! All are welcome to join us at Rumsey Park for fellowship, fun, and a chance to give thanks for the dogs, cats, and other animals that bring such joy to our lives.
